FIU welcomes more than 1,500 K-12 Students from Miami-Dade and Broward County Schools. The K-12 students and teachers had the opportunity to engage with our FIU PRE-CCAP students during a presentation at the Plasma Forming Laboratory.

Two members of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), Dr. Ulises Martinez and Mr. Stefan Williams, participated at the Engineering     Expo. Their presentation consisted in videos and an interactive demonstration of a fuel cell. During this event, the K-12 students were     interested in the application and fabrication process of the cell. Also, the students took the opportunity to ask technical questions to the   LANL’s engineers.
