Dr. Arvind Agarwal is a Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Florida International University (FIU), Miami, FL, USA.

Prof. Agarwal’s current research interests include advanced materials processing, cold spray, thermal spray, wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM), spark plasma sintering, ultrahigh temperature ceramics, boron nitride nanotube (BNNT), and graphene-reinforced composites and coatings, nanoindentation, and multi-scale mechanics of soft materials. Prof. Agarwal is an elected Fellow of ASM International, the American Ceramic Society (ACerS), the American Association for Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the National Academy of Inventors (NAI).
